the empath turned stone

the empath turned stone

the empath

a narcissists perfect victim. always forgiving, always seeing the potential - even, if it's just the projection of their own potential onto the narcissist.

bringing this concept to a form meant working with a material, where subtracting was the intended tool to bring it into form - much in the way a narcissist subtracts energy and resources from an empath.

"there is a curious myth perpetuated in our modern world, that the empath is here to heal others. a noble idea indeed, but like all half truths it masks a deeper archetypical function. the empath is not born to be the perennial healer, endlessly pouring themselves into the wounds of the world. rather they are born to serve as the mirror of humanity's collective shadow."
